How To Overcome Depression (An Evidence Based Approach)
Просмотров 19213 часов назад
Depression and sleep are complicated partners. For people that struggle with depression, it can mean sleeping a lot like 12-16 hours a day but still feeling unrefreshed. For others it could mean having more fragmented sleep, like sleeping in smaller chunks or struggling to fall asleep at all. Or maybe you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t quite fall back asleep. In this video, we exp...
Why Women Get Such POOR Sleep And How To Wake Up Refreshed

There's no doubt about it: women have a different psychology around sleep. From different social and cultural conditioning, to career ambitions, to acting like the CEO of the home, there is more of a cognitive and emotional burden for women. And this affects both the timing of their sleep, as well as their sleep quality AND quantity. So in this video, sleep expert Dr. Audrey Wells explains some...
The #1 Way To CURE Insomnia Without Drugs
Просмотров 543День назад
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is considered by sleep experts to be the first line of defense for insomnia. Which means, if you see a sleep doctor, they are more likely to recommend a six week course in CBT-I than write a prescription for something like Ambien. While it can seem a little daunting to start, research has shown CBT-I to be more effective at curing insomnia than ...

I cured my narcolepsy of 3 decades in minutes. I had 2 sleep doctors diagnose me and my brother due to very quick REM upon sleep onset. I used to be unable to drive more than 15-30 mins, fall asleep everywhere, etc. I found out that my bad back pain, insomnia, narcolepsy, chronic anxiety, IBS, etc were all very likely due to my childhood traumas. My trauma therapist also agreed with this. After doing traditional CBT therapy with her, I paid $120 for Accelerated Resolution Therapy with another therapist. My narcolepsy went away within minutes. I’m now able to drive 14hrs straight on road trips. My debilitating back pain of 15yrs also went away within a couple days by just reading a paperback book (Healing Back Pain by Dr John Sarnos). My brother’s back pain also went away after I explained the concepts to him from that book I hope this helps someone else heal from these very difficult health issues

I also have these dreams in the past where I dream of events before those events happened in real life. Most of the time they show me insignificant events. They are also generally recurring for a certain period preceding the event. But one day I had a dream where I was in a store with a young girl (around 16 years old) wearing inappropriate clothes and was buying a 2 litre of Pepsi before leaving the store, a clock was above the door and indicated 2:30:30 and a huge piece of ice and snow fell on her while breaking the glass in the door. The man working the counter was panicking and screaming, "Oh no. Oh, no!" I didn't know if the girl in my dream was dead but her situation was not good. However, when the event was happening in real life, I told the girl, "Stop, wait, don't go out now" but she wasn't listening and gave me the finger, so I ran towards her and grabbed her by one arm and said to her: "a big pile of ice has fallen on you now" and we saw the ice and snow falling making a huge noise and breaking the window of the door. the girl was confused and scared as well as the guy at the counter, she asked me how I knew the ice was going to fall, so I told her I had a dream where I saw the event and the guy at the counter yelled at me and said I'm a freak, and kicked me out and told me to never come back into the store. When I think about this event I realize that it is possible to change the events of the future when they occur in our dreams or in reality. Now I would like to learn how to generate these premonitory dreams so that they become more frequent so that I can act accordingly to have a greater influence on the events around me.

I completely forgot about it.

for me it happend 3 times in 1 month, honestly its not scary anymore, i always see this black figure that looks like black smoke in a skinny human shape, and im jus smiling at it, theres really nothing much i can do i can’t speak, im always frozen (witch is annoying couse i have cloustrophobia) i just pray to god and it usually goes away. other thing that is always weird that theres actual physics in my paralysis i can fully feel the figure’s touch and the weight when its on the bed/my chest..

It's a bit silly to compare the sleep features on the Apple Watch alone - it's meant to feed into your iPhone where you'll find pretty complete data in the Sleep part of the Apple Health app. And if that's not enough for you, there are apps like AutoSleep ($4, no subscription, no data collection) that take the data even further. That said, ALL these devices really extrapolate your sleep stages from very limited data (mostly heart rate and movement), meaning that there will be frequent errors and erroneous assumptions (like tagging time watching TV as sleep bc you didn't move). So they all are pretty much guessing, and they often guess wrong. I'm looking for a better option than the Apple Watch, and I'm not finding anything better, especially since there's no subscription or added cost to the price of the watch (unless you consider buying an iPhone an added cost, since the watch requires the phone). Speaking or price, it would have been helpful to note the (2024) prices: Apple Watch Series 9: $399, no subscription (AutoSleep app $4 no subsciption) Apple Watch SE: $249, no subscription (AutoSleep app $4 no subsciption) Oura Ring Gen 3: $349, subscription $6/mo or $70/yr Whoop 4.0: $240, subscription $30/mo or $240/yr or $400/2 yr
